Congratulations to Dr. Civan Avci for successfully defending his PhD entitled "Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework-8: Control of particle size, and shape and its self-assembly" in ICN2.
Prof. Paolo Falcaro visited the ICN2 this last December.
NanoUp was present in MOF2018 conference that took place from 9th to 13th of December at the University of Auckland, New Zealand
Congratulations to our colleague Dr. Amirali Yazdi for successfully defending his PhD entitled "Nanoengineering composites made of metal- and covalent-organic frameworks and inorganic nanoparticles using encapsulation techniques" in ICN2.
Our clip-off chemistry article, just published in J. Am. Chem. Soc. is currently attracting broad attention in the chemistry and engineering field. It got highlighted on 31st of October in C&EN, in Chemistry Views, AZO Materials, and as well as Jacs spotlight
Congratulations to our colleague Dr. Jordi Espín for successfully defending his PhD entitled "The photothermal effect in MOFs" in ICN2.
We just published our most recent results in J. Am. Chem. Soc., using ozone for an unprecedented post synthetic merging of micropores into mesopores in MOFs.
From Australia and on a scientific Euro tour, Prof. Christian Doonan stopped by Barcelona to visit the NanoUp group at ICN2.
Researchers from NanoUp group, in collaboration with researchers from University of Malaga, just published an article in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. In this work we demonstrate that swelling behaviour of flexible MOF crystals can be used to create a self‐folding polymer films that undergoes reversible shape transformations upon exposure to polar solvents and vapours, exhibiting shape-memory effect.
Our Colleague Dr. Javier Pérez Carvajal gave a great talk on "Composite salts in porous Metal-Organic Frameworks for adsorption heat transformation" at the 1st European symposium on sorption science, Vienna, Austria. Good job!
