Congratulations to our colleague Civan Avci who takes home the Best Presentation Award from the 2018 docMOF conference.

At the end April, our colleague Civan Avci (PhD student) attended the PhD-run symposium docMOF 2018 in Raitenhaslach, Germany. The event aimed to bring together young researchers working on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and related materials from throughout Europe and beyond.

With the title "Self-assembly of polyhedral metal-organic framework particles into three-dimensional ordered superstructures", Civan's contribution to the event was recognized with the Best Presentation Award, which came with a monetary reward to put towards attendance of the MOF2018 conference being held in Auckland, New Zealand in December this year.

Speaking about the event, Civan highlighted the unique setting of the Bavarian monastery Kloster Raitenhaslach, saying "it was a pleasure to do science in such a beautiful location". He is also very honored to have won the award itself, saying that the level of all of the works presented was extremely high.
